AAMPS Program Completion

As you may recall, Winkler Water Supply Corporation was chosen by the Texas Rural Water Development Commission to participate in a new program designed to assist small water systems in developing a comprehensive inventory of their system assets and prioritize capital improvement projects for the future.
The program was completed at the end of 2023 working with EHT Engineering Firm. Major take aways for the program include:
- Complete list of company assets along with age and useful life.
- GIS interactive mapping system which maps the entire 84.2 miles of underground water.
- Operations manual for plant operations.
- Emergency preparedness plan (Submitted to TCEQ for approval)
This year 2024, the board of directors will be working with EHT to identify and pursue grant monies to begin implementing improvement projects identified and prioritized.
We are very pleased with the results of this program and look forward to using the results as a road map to allow WWSC to continue to serve our members with clean affordable water.
